My camera is a Canon A570. I bought it to use for work, I am a newspaper editor/reporter and need something that is easy to use and fast. I take it with me on assignments and carry it around no matter where I go - just in case I run into a good scoop or story. I have taken some wonderful shots of kids, flowers and close ups using different lenses. I like it because it is small and compact, easy to use and fun to use. It doesn't require a lot of set up time and is as close to a point and shoot as you can get.
Battery longevity is one of the most important improvements. I have to carry extra batteries with me at all times, for those 'just in case' moments when the batteries fail me. That is the one thing that does drive me nuts. I would also like to see more lenses available.
