My Canon Powershot G9 is an absolutely phenomenal camera. I use it for everything (professional and recreational). It features a generously sized, bright LCD screen, optical and digital zoom, and RAW mode. The 12.1 megapixel resolution allows me to take pictures that are crisp and clear, even when printed. And I could go on all day about the 25 different shooting modes. My favorites are the color swap and color accent modes; they are fun and work amazingly.
The actual camera is very well built, and while it's a bit larger than regular digital cameras, it's small enough to fit into a purse or whatnot. The only complaints I have are that, while the LCD screen is, in fact, scratch-resistant, fingerprints easily accumulate on it and sometimes the Automatic Red-Eye Removal doesn't work. Overall, this was a great investment that I do not regret. I love my Canon!!!
