Canon Powershot SD850 IS Digital Elph

The brand name of my digital camera is a Canon Powershot, model SD850 IS, Digital Elph. I like this camera because it is small and compact to hold. It takes good quality pictures when your hand is steady. It has night vision mode, so the pictures come out good. It has foliage mode, which lets you take a picture of flowers. The picture shows up clean and crisp.

The thing I like the most about this camera is that it is small and takes great pictures, that is if you know how to use this camera. It takes great pictures for a small camera size. You can buy cables that hook up to it; Therefore you can print the pictures or send them to a television or computer. An adaptable high power flash can be hooked up to this camera too. The high power flash lets you take pictures of things that are far away, which the built-in flash cannot do. I use the camera to take pictures of fireworks, family, trips, flowers, events, parties, and things that I find interesting.

I use the video functionality too. It is great when you have a lot of memory.

I would like to see the auto focus feature to be improved for night shots. I would like to see an accessory that puts a "bumper guard" around the camera, because if I drop it, it will be cushioned and not break. I would like to see that the video functionality is improved, so that the camera can hold more than 4 Meg of video.

"The 850 from canon is one of the only digital cameras that has a 28mm-to-105mm opening as opposed to the regular 35” or more starting point opening of lenses on most digitals. This ability allows you to take more of a scene and more people from close up. The camera also comes with a digital anti-shake feature that helps when taking pictures under dark lightings. The camera can also take large SD memory cards mine has an 8 GB card and I can take all the pictures I want on a trip without running out of memory, even allowing video recording of 30 minutes. The camera is packed with all the regular features you will find in digital cameras; this one just has a few nifty extras, that allow me to take the camera and use on all my trips, where I try to pack as little as possible. The few things I dislike about it is the small screen, it comes out that most of the picture viewing is on the camera, so a bigger screen would be a plus. I think the camera is excellent and great for family photos and long trips."
